Mission

PYD empowers youth with disabilities to reach their full potential by providing transformative mentoring programs, youth development opportunities, and inclusion expertise. We motivate youth to reach their personal, educational, and career goals and guide organizations in becoming more inclusive.

Services Provided

PYD's goal is to create a world where young people with disabilities will be able to live with dignity and pride in who they are, and to lead self-determined lives filled with purpose. To make this happen, we build the skills and abilities of young people with disabilities, and increase the inclusivity of workplaces, organizations, and communities.

Services Provided

PYD currently runs programs focusing on mentoring, career readiness, theater arts, and leadership development. These programs largely serve youth in the Greater Boston area, but our mentoring program has an online component that is open to young adults from across the United States.

How Donations Are Used

Our donations are put directly toward our services in each of our programs.

How Many People Reached

This past fiscal year, PYD worked with a total of 1,830 individuals, including youth, teachers, and inclusion trainees.

Project Spotlight

Recently, PYD's Career Readiness team’s curriculum has expanded nationally.
